What is NOLA?

Nola is the abbreviation for New Orleans, Louisiana, a unique and historical city in the South of the United States. It is the birthplace of jazz music and the local cuisine is so linked to the music you’ll only get hte full flavor if you take them both together.

If you have been to the Big Easy, you’ll know that music and cuisine are the main attractions to this laid back port city. Located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexican, New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA) was first discovered by the French in 1718 before being taken over by Spain just half a century later. Large communities of African American immigrants also made their way over the Atlantic which contributed to the many rich flavors and sounds of NOLA.
